Upholdingthe great ideals of education and being located in the tribal belt, G.E.V.P.G.College has started to offer Master of Arts in English from the academic year2006- 2007 recognised by Atal Bihari Vajpayee University Bilaspur for thebenefit of the rural students. Post graduate Department of English has amission of improving communicative skills of students to face global challengesbesides giving the knowledge of literature. It endeavours to inculcate researchskills among students for independent thinking, and prepares students to pursuecareers in education, research, business, government, and publishing. Itencourages creativity, which is crucial to English studies, through readings ofprofessional writers; and encourages students’ own creative and criticalwritings. It helps the students and gives them the confidence to speak inEnglish.
